General DescriptionqZ1嘉泰姆

The APL3514A/B is a power-distribution switch with someqZ1嘉泰姆

protection functions that can deliver current up to 2A. TheqZ1嘉泰姆

device incorporates a 90m N-channel MOSFET powerqZ1嘉泰姆

switch that is controlled by an enable logic pin and hasqZ1嘉泰姆

internal soft start control to minimize inrush current.qZ1嘉泰姆

The device integrates some protection features, includ-qZ1嘉泰姆

ing current-limit protection, short-circuit protection, over-qZ1嘉泰姆

temperature protection, and UVLO. The current-limit andqZ1嘉泰姆

short-circuit protection can protect down-stream devicesqZ1嘉泰姆

from catastrophic failure by limiting the output current atqZ1嘉泰姆

current-limit threshold during over-load or short-circuitqZ1嘉泰姆

events. When VOUT drops below VIN-1.5V the devices limitqZ1嘉泰姆

the current to a lower and safe level. The over-tempera-qZ1嘉泰姆

ture protection function shuts down the N-channelqZ1嘉泰姆

MOSFET power switch when the junction temperatureqZ1嘉泰姆

rises beyond 140oC and will automatically turns on theqZ1嘉泰姆
