      This device offers two operation modes,PWM control and PFM ModelxK嘉泰姆
switching control, which allows a high efficiency over the wider range of thelxK嘉泰姆

Internal Regulator lxK嘉泰姆
The CXSD61054   is a current mode step down DC/DC converter that provides excellentlxK嘉泰姆
transient response with no extra external compensation components. This device containslxK嘉泰姆
an internal, low resistance, high voltage power MOSFET, and operates at a high 600KlxK嘉泰姆
operating frequency to ensure a compact, high efficiency design with excellent AC and DClxK嘉泰姆
performance.lxK嘉泰姆

Error AmplifierlxK嘉泰姆
The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage with the internal FB reference (VFB) andlxK嘉泰姆
outputs a current proportional to the difference between the two. This output current is thenlxK嘉泰姆
used to charge or discharge the internal compensation network to form the COMP voltage,lxK嘉泰姆
which is used to control the power MOSFET current. The optimized internal compensationlxK嘉泰姆
network minimizes the external component counts and simplifies the control loop design. lxK嘉泰姆
Internal Soft-StartlxK嘉泰姆
The soft-start is implemented to prevent the converter output voltage from overshootinglxK嘉泰姆
during startup. When the chip starts, the internal circuitry generates a soft-start voltage (SS)lxK嘉泰姆
ramping up from 0V to 0.6V. When it is lower than the internal reference (REF), SSlxK嘉泰姆
overrides REF so the error amplifier uses SS as the reference. When SS is higher thanlxK嘉泰姆
REF, REF regains control. The SS time is internally fixed to 1 ms.lxK嘉泰姆
Over-Current-Protection and HiccuplxK嘉泰姆
The JTM2234 has cycle-by-cycle over current limit when the inductor current peak valuelxK嘉泰姆
exceeds the set current limit threshold. Meanwhile, output voltage starts to drop until FB islxK嘉泰姆
below the Under-Voltage (UV) threshold, typically 30% below the reference. Once a UV islxK嘉泰姆
triggered, the JTM2234 enters hiccup mode to periodically restart the part. ThislxK嘉泰姆
protection mode is especially useful when the output is dead-short to ground. The averagelxK嘉泰姆
short circuit current is greatly reduced to alleviate the thermal issue and to protect thelxK嘉泰姆
regulator. The JTM2234 exits the hiccup mode once the over current condition islxK嘉泰姆
removed. lxK嘉泰姆
Startup and Shutdown lxK嘉泰姆
If both VIN and EN are higher than their appropriate thresholds, the chip starts. ThelxK嘉泰姆
reference block starts first, generating stable reference voltage and currents, and then thelxK嘉泰姆
internal regulator is enabled. The regulator provides stable supply for the remaininglxK嘉泰姆
