General Description 3uv嘉泰姆

The APW7108 is a dual-channel, constant on-time, and3uv嘉泰姆

synchronous PWM controller which drives dual N-3uv嘉泰姆

channel MOSFETs for each channel. The APW7108 steps3uv嘉泰姆

down high voltage of a battery to generate low-voltage3uv嘉泰姆

chipset or RAM supplies in notebook computers.3uv嘉泰姆

The APW7108 provides excellent transient response and3uv嘉泰姆

accurate DC voltage output in either PFM or PWM3uv嘉泰姆

mode. In PFM mode, the APW7108 provides very high3uv嘉泰姆

efficiency over light to heavy loads with loading-modu-3uv嘉泰姆

lated switching frequencies. The Forced-PWM mode3uv嘉泰姆

works nearly at constant frequency for low-noise3uv嘉泰姆

requirements.3uv嘉泰姆

The APW7108 is equipped with accurate current-limit,3uv嘉泰姆

output under-voltag, and output over-voltage protections,3uv嘉泰姆

perfect for NB applications. A Power-On-Reset function3uv嘉泰姆

monitors the voltage on V CC to prevent wrong opera-3uv嘉泰姆

tion during power on. A soft-start ramps up the output3uv嘉泰姆

voltage with programmable slew rate to reduce the3uv嘉泰姆

start-up current. A soft-stop function actively discharges3uv嘉泰姆

the output capacitors with controlled reverse inductor3uv嘉泰姆

current. At the end of the soft-stop, the APW7108 forces3uv嘉泰姆

LGATE high to prevent over-voltage in shutdown. The3uv嘉泰姆

APW7108 has individual enable controls for each3uv嘉泰姆

channel. Pulling both EN pin low shuts down the whole3uv嘉泰姆

chip with low quiescent current close to zero.3uv嘉泰姆
