 General Description9yX嘉泰姆

The APL5331 linear regulator is designed to provide a9yX嘉泰姆

regulated voltage with bi-directional output current for9yX嘉泰姆

DDR-SDRAM termination voltage. The APL5331 inte-9yX嘉泰姆

grates two power transistors to source or sink current9yX嘉泰姆

up to 3A. It also incorporates current-limit, thermal shut-9yX嘉泰姆

down and shutdown control functions into a single chip.9yX嘉泰姆

The current-limit circuit limits the short-circuit current.9yX嘉泰姆

The on-chip thermal shutdown provides protection9yX嘉泰姆

against any combination of overload that would create9yX嘉泰姆

excessive junction temperature. The output voltage of9yX嘉泰姆

APL5331 tracks the voltage at VREF pin. A resistor di-9yX嘉泰姆

vider connected to VIN, GND and VREF pins is used to9yX嘉泰姆

provide a half voltage of VIN to VREF pin. In addition, an9yX嘉泰姆

external ceramic capacitor and an open-drain tran-9yX嘉泰姆

sistor connected to VREF pin provide soft-start and shut-9yX嘉泰姆
