The APL5331 linear regulator is designed to provide a8Fx嘉泰姆

regulated voltage with bi-directional output current for8Fx嘉泰姆

DDR-SDRAM termination voltage. The APL5331 inte-8Fx嘉泰姆

grates two power transistors to source or sink current8Fx嘉泰姆

up to 3A. It also incorporates current-limit, thermal shut-8Fx嘉泰姆

down and shutdown control functions into a single chip.8Fx嘉泰姆

The current-limit circuit limits the short-circuit current.8Fx嘉泰姆

The on-chip thermal shutdown provides protection8Fx嘉泰姆

against any combination of overload that would create8Fx嘉泰姆

excessive junction temperature. The output voltage of8Fx嘉泰姆

APL5331 tracks the voltage at VREF pin. A resistor di-8Fx嘉泰姆

vider connected to VIN, GND and VREF pins is used to8Fx嘉泰姆

provide a half voltage of VIN to VREF pin. In addition, an8Fx嘉泰姆

external ceramic capacitor and an open-drain tran-8Fx嘉泰姆

sistor connected to VREF pin provide soft-start and shut-8Fx嘉泰姆
