 PT4113_DSB Rev EN_1.0 PT4113 GENERAL DESCRIPTION PT4113 is a high efficiency boost converter control chip which can be used for large-size LCD TV LED backlight driver. Input voltage range of chip is 6.5V to 20V, with 2 independent boost controllers. Because the power MOSFET is not integrated, so the output voltage is limited only by the external MOSFET. And matching accuracy between two feedback reference voltage is within 2%, which allows each controller to drive dozens of W LED in series, and ensure that all WLED brightness uniformity at the same time. In addition, the two drivers work independently, and will adjust output voltage according to each WL ED voltage drop to achieve optimal system efficiency, and the maximum efficiency is more than 90%. PT4113 has two methods to adjust LED brightness, namely PWM dimming and anal og dimming that changing the feedback voltage reference by ADIM voltage. The chip’s feedback voltage is 300mv, wh ich can significantly reduce system power consumption and improve efficiency. PT4113 has a complete system protection features such as output over-voltage protection, output short-circuit protection, cycle-by-cycle ov er-current protection, input under-voltage protection, an d soft-start function. PT4113 can be available in SSOP24L (0.635-D1.40) and SOP24L package.
