Internal Regulatorhke嘉泰姆
    The CXSD61055 is a current mode step down DC/DC converter that provides excellent transienthke嘉泰姆
response with no extra external compensation components. This device contains an internal,hke嘉泰姆
low resistance, high voltage power MOSFET, and operates at a high 600K operating frequency tohke嘉泰姆
ensure a compact, high efficiency design with excellent AC and DC performance. hke嘉泰姆
Error Amplifierhke嘉泰姆
The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage with the internal FB reference (V FB) and outputs ahke嘉泰姆
current proportional to the difference between the two. This output current is then used to chargehke嘉泰姆
or discharge the internal compensation network to form the COMP voltage, which is used tohke嘉泰姆
control the power MOSFET current.The optimized internal compensation network minimizes thehke嘉泰姆
external component counts and simplifies the control loop design. hke嘉泰姆
Internal Soft-Starthke嘉泰姆
The soft-start is implemented to prevent the converter output voltage from overshootinghke嘉泰姆
during startup. When the chip starts, the internal circuitry generates a soft-start voltage (SS)hke嘉泰姆
ramping up from 0V to 0.6V. When it is lower than the internal reference (REF), SS overrideshke嘉泰姆
REF so the error amplifier uses SS as the reference. When SS is higher than REF, REFhke嘉泰姆
regains control. The SS time is internally fixed to 1 ms. Over-Current-Protection and Hiccuphke嘉泰姆
The CXSD61055 has cycle-by-cycle over current limit when the inductor current peak valuehke嘉泰姆
exceeds the set current limit threshold. Meanwhile, output voltage starts to drop until FBhke嘉泰姆
is below the Under-Voltage (UV) threshold,typically 30% below the reference. Once a UV ishke嘉泰姆
triggered, the CXSD61055 enters hiccup mode to periodically restart the part. This protection modehke嘉泰姆
is especially useful when the output is dead-short to ground. The average short circuithke嘉泰姆
current is greatly reduced to alleviate the thermal issue and to protect the regulator. The CXSD61055hke嘉泰姆
exits the hiccup mode once the over current condition is removed. hke嘉泰姆
Startup and Shutdownhke嘉泰姆
If both VIN and EN are higher than their appropriate thresholds, the chip starts. Thehke嘉泰姆
reference block starts first, generating stable reference voltage and currents, and then thehke嘉泰姆
internal regulator is enabled. The regulator provides stable supply for the remaininghke嘉泰姆
circuitries. Three events can shut down the chip: EN low, VIN low and thermal shutdown. In thehke嘉泰姆
shutdown procedure, the signaling path is first blocked to avoid any fault triggering. The COMPhke嘉泰姆
voltage and the internal supply rail are then pulled down. The floating driver is not subject tohke嘉泰姆
this shutdown command.hke嘉泰姆
