The APL3200 ,APL3201 .APL3202, APL3207 charges a single-cell Li+ battery from bothfC3嘉泰姆

USB and AC adapter sources. It also includes battery-fC3嘉泰姆

to-input power switchover, therefore, the system can befC3嘉泰姆

powered directly from the power source rather than fromfC3嘉泰姆

the battery.fC3嘉泰姆

In its simplest application, the APL3200 doesn’t needfC3嘉泰姆

external MOSFET or diodes and accepts input voltagesfC3嘉泰姆

up to 6.5V; however, DC input over-voltage protection upfC3嘉泰姆

to 18V can be added with a single SOT PFET.fC3嘉泰姆

On-chip thermal limiting simplifies PC board layout andfC3嘉泰姆

allows optimum charging rate without the thermalfC3嘉泰姆

limits imposed by worst-case battery and input voltage.fC3嘉泰姆

When the APL3200 thermal limit is reached, the chargerfC3嘉泰姆

does not shut down but simply reduces charging current.fC3嘉泰姆

Ambient or battery temperature can be monitored withfC3嘉泰姆

an external thermistor. When the temperature is out offC3嘉泰姆

range, charging pauses.fC3嘉泰姆

Other features include STAT 1 and STAT 2 outputsfC3嘉泰姆
