The CXLB7388X series are highly integrated single cellGLl嘉泰姆

Li-Ion/Polymer battery charger IC designed for handheldGLl嘉泰姆

devices. The CXLB7388X accepts two power inputs,GLl嘉泰姆

normally one from a USB port and another one fromGLl嘉泰姆

AC-adaptor. The CXLB7388X automatically selects theGLl嘉泰姆

USB-Port or the AC-adapter as the power source for theGLl嘉泰姆

system. In the USB configuration, the host can select fromGLl嘉泰姆

the two preset charge rates of 100 mA and 500 mA. In theGLl嘉泰姆

AC−adapter configuration an external resistor sets theGLl嘉泰姆

magnitude of the charge current, which may beGLl嘉泰姆

programmed up to 1A.GLl嘉泰姆

The CXLB7388X charges the battery in three phases:GLl嘉泰姆

conditioning, constant current, and constant voltage.GLl嘉泰姆

Charge is terminated based on minimum current. AnGLl嘉泰姆

internal charge timer provides a backup safety for chargeGLl嘉泰姆

termination. The CXLB7388X automatically re-starts theGLl嘉泰姆

charge if the battery voltage falls below an internalGLl嘉泰姆

threshold. The CXLB7388X also automatically enters sleepGLl嘉泰姆

mode when both supplies are removed. No external senseGLl嘉泰姆

resistor or blocking diode is required for charging.GLl嘉泰姆

The CXLB7388X integrates internal power FET , currentGLl嘉泰姆

sensor, charge status and reverse current protection in aGLl嘉泰姆

single monolithic devices.GLl嘉泰姆
