Li-Ion/Polymer battery charger IC designed for handheldeia嘉泰姆

devices. This charger is designed to work with variouseia嘉泰姆

types of AC adapters or a USB port and capable ofeia嘉泰姆

operating with an input voltage as low as 2.65V.eia嘉泰姆

The CXLB7389 operates as a linear charger and charges theeia嘉泰姆

battery in three phases: trickle current, constant current,eia嘉泰姆

and constant voltage. When AC-adapter is applied, aneia嘉泰姆

external resistor sets the magnitude of the charge current,eia嘉泰姆

which may be programmed up to 1.5A with TDFN10eia嘉泰姆

package and a current-limited adapter for lowest powereia嘉泰姆

dissipation.eia嘉泰姆

The CXLB7389 features thermal regulation loop to controleia嘉泰姆

charge current to keep safe operation when PCB lacked ofeia嘉泰姆

enough heat-sinking. A programmable charge timereia嘉泰姆

provides a backup safety for termination. The CXLB7389eia嘉泰姆

automatically re-starts the charge if the battery voltageeia嘉泰姆

falls below an internal threshold and automatically enterseia嘉泰姆

sleep mode when DC supplies are removed. No externaleia嘉泰姆

sense resistor or blocking diode is required for charging. Aeia嘉泰姆

NTC thermistor interface is used for charging the batteryeia嘉泰姆

                       in a safe temperature range.eia嘉泰姆
