The CXLB7389 series are highly integrated single celllj9嘉泰姆

Li-Ion/Polymer battery charger IC designed for handheldlj9嘉泰姆

devices. This charger is designed to work with variouslj9嘉泰姆

types of AC adapters or a USB port and capable oflj9嘉泰姆

operating with an input voltage as low as 2.65V.lj9嘉泰姆

The CXLB7389 operates as a linear charger and charges thelj9嘉泰姆

battery in three phases: trickle current, constant current,lj9嘉泰姆

and constant voltage. When AC-adapter is applied, anlj9嘉泰姆

external resistor sets the magnitude of the charge current,lj9嘉泰姆

which may be programmed up to 1.5A with TDFN10lj9嘉泰姆

package and a current-limited adapter for lowest powerlj9嘉泰姆

dissipation.lj9嘉泰姆

The CXLB7389 features thermal regulation loop to controllj9嘉泰姆

charge current to keep safe operation when PCB lacked oflj9嘉泰姆

enough heat-sinking. A programmable charge timerlj9嘉泰姆

provides a backup safety for termination. The CXLB7389lj9嘉泰姆

automatically re-starts the charge if the battery voltagelj9嘉泰姆

falls below an internal threshold and automatically enterslj9嘉泰姆

sleep mode when DC supplies are removed. No externallj9嘉泰姆

sense resistor or blocking diode is required for charging. Alj9嘉泰姆

NTC thermistor interface is used for charging the batterylj9嘉泰姆

                       in a safe temperature range.lj9嘉泰姆
